$200 Cash Giveaway for Kosten Foundation’s Kick It 5K Early Bird Registration

Memphis, Tenn., June 28, 2022 – The Kosten Foundation announced participants that register for their 12 annual Kick It 5K race before August 31 will be eligible to win a $200 cash prize. Runners, walkers, and supporters can register for $30, and spirit & virtual runners can register for $25 on the Kick It 5K website at https://kickit5k.raceroster.com. All proceeds go towards funding pancreatic cancer research, improving community support, and raising awareness about the disease.

“I cannot begin to describe how grateful we are for the outstanding support the Kick It 5K receives every year from the community,” said Alan Kosten, Chairman of the Kosten Foundation. “We could not be more pleased to be returning for another in-person event this year, and we look forward to making an even bigger impact in the fight against pancreatic cancer with our largest fundraiser of the year, Kick It 5K!”

The Kosten Foundation’s October 30 race will be presented by Baptist Memorial Health Care. Over the last 19 years, the Kosten Foundation has donated nearly $2.5 million to pancreatic cancer research and support. The Kick It 5K is the organization’s largest fundraiser and in 2021, it raised more than $150,000 that went towards funding three research teams dedicated to finding a cure for pancreatic cancer.

Participants can look forward to live music, a pre-race memorial and survivor ceremony, food trucks, and more. Memphis radio legend Ron Olson will serve as emcee for the 5K as well. Anyone interested in participating in the race or donating to pancreatic cancer research can do so on the event website at https://kickit5k.raceroster.com.

In addition to supporting pancreatic cancer research across the country, the foundation hosts a free monthly support group meeting for pancreatic cancer patients, survivors, and anyone else affected by the disease.
