Kosten Foundation Reschedules 10th Annual Kick It 5K

April 5 event rescheduled for October 25th according to CDC’s COVID-19 recommendations

Memphis, Tenn., March 17, 2020 – The Kosten Foundation has rescheduled the 10th annual Kick It 5K in accordance with the Center for Disease Control’s recommendations to contain the spread of COVID-19.

The April 5 event will now take place October 25 in Shelby Farms Park. Runners, walkers, and supporters that have signed up already will have their registrations carried over to the new date.

“We wanted to make the most responsible decision for the health of our participants, guests, and pancreatic cancer support group members,” said Alan Kosten, Chairman of the Kosten Foundation, “That is why we have decided to be cautious and reschedule the event for October 25.”

Since its founding in 2003, the Kosten Foundation has raised more than $2 million for research, awareness, and support against pancreatic cancer. The Kick It 5K is their largest fundraiser for the cause, featuring pillars of the Memphis community and a pancreatic cancer survivor’s ceremony before the race.

Registration for the October 25 Kick It 5K will remain open. People can sign up or donate at this link https://kickit5k.raceroster.com/page/home12 or visit kostenfoundation.com for more information.
